Serving the community since 1948
The Gamma Rho Zeta Chapter received its Charter in June 1948, at the home of Soror Kate Sue White in Bradenton, Florida, with Soror Lucille G. Coleman, State Director presiding, and Soror Ruth T. Orr, sponsor of the Gamma Gamma Alpha Chapter 3% Florida A & M College in Tallahassee, Florida.
The Chapter was established with the following charter members: Sorors - Essie K. James, President; Inez C. Smith, First Vice-President; Kate Sue White, Secretary; Mildred E. Foster, Treasurer; Affie B. Teal, Chaplain and Alyce S. Partner, member.
The persons listed were invited into the pledge club: Lucille Reid, Louise R. McNeil, Maggie Foster, Julia 0. Webb, and Nellie B. Greene. Later Soror Frances Stephens became a member and was selected as chairlady of

This chapter has organized affiliate organizations to the Sorority:

-
